The short version

• This website has no forms and does not collect your health information.
• Booking, intake forms and visits happen on our secure, HIPAA-compliant patient portal, not on this site.
• We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used. It never receives health details from us.
• We do not sell your information.

Who we are

This website is run by Journey Psychiatric Care, 519 Somerville Ave #337, Somerville, MA 02143. This policy covers this website only. Your care, and the health information you share as a patient, are covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA, which you receive when you become a patient.

What this website does not collect

There are no contact forms, intake forms or symptom checkers that send information to us from this site. We do not ask you to enter your name, date of birth, insurance details or anything about your health here.

The “Get started” questions run entirely in your browser. Your answers are not saved or sent anywhere. The only thing recorded is which step you reached, as a number, with no answers attached.

Booking and intake: the patient portal

When you click “Book a Visit,” you leave this site for our patient portal, run by IntakeQ at journeypsych.intakeq.com. That is where you schedule, complete intake forms and share health information. IntakeQ handles that information under its own security and privacy practices; see IntakeQ’s privacy policy. Health information you give us through the portal is protected under HIPAA.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this website, such as which pages are visited, how people arrive, what device and browser they use, and general location at the city or region level. We also count certain clicks, such as clicking the book button or the phone number.

We set up these events so they never include health details: no conditions, symptoms, answers or anything you type. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies, small files stored by your browser, to tell new visits from returning ones. This site does not use advertising cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

Email and phone

If you email info@journeypsychiatric.com or call 617-858-8276, we receive what you choose to send, such as your name, number and message. We use it only to reply. Regular email is not secure, so please do not send medical details by email. Use the patient portal for anything about your health.

Links to other sites

This site links to insurers, government agencies and crisis services. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Children

This website is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from them. Parents and guardians book care for minors through the patient portal.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell or rent information from this website. Analytics data is shared with Google only as described above.
