Frequently asked questions
Can I see you if I live far from Boston?
Yes. Visits are by video, so where you live in Massachusetts doesn’t change how care works. Patients in Western Massachusetts and on the Cape have the same visits as patients in the city.
Do I have to be in Massachusetts during visits?
Yes. You must be physically located in Massachusetts at the time of each visit. If you will be out of state, reschedule or join from somewhere in Massachusetts.
Is there an office I can visit?
No. Journey Psychiatric Care is fully telehealth. The Somerville address is for mail only.
What do I need for a video visit?
A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, a steady internet connection and a private place to talk. Visits run on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.
Where can I get help in a crisis?
Call or text 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room. In Massachusetts you can call the Behavioral Health Help Line at 833-773-2445, or find a Community Behavioral Health Center near you. See crisis resources.
What if I move within Massachusetts?
Nothing changes. You keep seeing the same clinician by video. Just update your address and pharmacy in the patient portal.
