Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to a website everyone can use.
Our goal
Journey Psychiatric Care wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only browsing, voice control, screen magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What we do
- Use real headings, lists and landmarks so pages make sense to screen readers.
- Keep text and background colors at sufficient contrast.
- Make every link, button and menu reachable and usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Give meaningful images text alternatives, and mark decorative images so screen readers skip them.
- Write in plain language, with short paragraphs and clear link text.
- Respect your device’s reduced-motion setting.
- Let pages zoom to 200% without losing content.
Known limits
Booking, intake forms and video visits happen on our secure patient portal and video platform, which are run by third-party providers. We choose tools with accessibility in mind, but we do not control their design. If you have trouble using them, tell us and we will help you book or complete forms another way, such as by phone.
Links to outside websites, such as insurers and government agencies, lead to sites with their own accessibility practices.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site is hard to use, please let us know. Email info@journeypsychiatric.com or call 617-858-8276. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do and what assistive technology you use, if any. We will try to respond within a few business days and get you the information you need in a format that works for you.
Please do not include medical details in your message.
Ongoing review
We test pages with automated tools and by hand as the site changes. Accessibility is ongoing work, and we update this statement as we improve the site. For U.S. guidance on web accessibility, see ADA.gov.
